The Anti-Impotence Pill Viagra

Posted in Uncategorized at 10:25 am by Jenny

As reported recently the Viagra could be available over-the- counter and supermarket.

A report indicated there are 25 million (near about) men have already used the little wonder blue pill for impotence or erectile dysfunction on prescription after that drug’s maker Pfizer has decided to submitting an application for approval of it to European regulatory authorities to allow it for sale in pharmacies.

Change should be welcome but might mean other connected diseases were missed with no health awareness or proper check up.

Frequently it is seen, men with erectile dysfunction have underlying health problems such as diabetes and hormone disorders which can be spotted by their family physician or general practitioner at the time they come for an anti-impotence prescription.

Dr David Ralph from the Institute of Urology at University College London UK revealed that “if men can buy ED drug such as Viagra and and other anti rival drug over the counter the without a prescription, this opportunity is missed.”

Viagra examined by many researchers and found that it is very helpful too in fertility .They tested 50 samples of semen. They found that up to 79% more sperm were fully “reacted”, it were samples of those who treated with Viagra. But initially it was introduced it was never meant for this purpose.

Study: Erectile Dysfunction Drug Such As Viagra May Improve Sexual Satisfaction

Posted in Uncategorized at 10:23 am by Jenny

According to a current study, published at the Journal of Physiology, Erectile dysfunction drug such as Viagra (Sildenafil) may enhance sexual satisfaction in addition to their well-known effect on sexual performance.

Viagra increases blood flow to the penis during arousal. Erectile dysfunction or impotent drug classified as sexual stimulants, not aphrodisiacs, in that they improve sexual function but are not known to affect arousal.

However, the scientists revealed that these Viagra play a key role (indirectly) in regulating release of oxytocin. This may be a key in understanding supplementary effects that these drugs may have on enduring users.

Although the study was made on rats, results give the impression that sildenafil (Viagra) and its analogues seem to stimulate the release of oxytocin. This hormone is released by the neurohypophysis, or posterior lobe of the pituitary gland, during orgasm.

Erectile dysfunction (ED or impotence) is a dysfunction characterized by the lack of ability to build up or keep an erection of the penis. Many underlying reasons can be named for impotent and many of those reasons are medically treatable.

The study shows that Viagra may have other effects (in addition to improve sexual performance), but the experiments were performed only in animal systems. Further research is needed.

Impotence Frequent in Obese Men

Here’s another explanation why you should stay fit. Researchers said fat people make miserable lovers simply because overweight goes hand in hand with impotence.

A study shown by the National heart, National Cancer Institute, Lung and Blood Institute, the National Heart and the American Cancer Society is that obese men were at risk for impotence or erectile dysfunction than men who exercised for at least 30 minutes in a day. About 3,000 men aged between 50 and 80 were involved in the study and 34 percent men among of these reported moderate to severe impotence.

Impotence - also known as erectile dysfunction or erection difficulty - is the consistent lack of ability to have and keep up an erection required for sex.

Researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) also found strong connection between obesity and impotence. When obesity was combined with smoking, the risk of impotence was even bigger.

More recently, the link between idleness and erectile dysfunction was confirmed by Johns Hopkins researchers. In their study available in The American Journal of Medicine, the researchers found a high occurrence of impotence among men with hypertension and diabetes.

To prevent impotence, eat the right foods, look at your weight, and exercise regularly. If you have the hard luck of being impotent, don’t despair since the condition is treatable. Seek medical help as soon as possible to avoid complications later.

Manage Stress with Art Therapy

Stress is a normal and necessary response to life changes. It is something that everyone experiences as part of his or her everyday life. To better give you an understanding of the role that stress plays in life is to remember that stress is a perception. It only becomes a problem when it causes physical, emotional and psychological reactions that do not go away. When your stressors are channeled properly stress is actually what can lead you to your best outcome however when not channeled properly these same stressors can wreak havoc on your life. There are some ways to reduce the impact that stress has on your health and emotional well -being and to manage your stress to remain at a healthy level. Some natural or holistic approaches to stress management involve expressive therapies. Art therapy is one such method.

Art therapy in a clinical setting combines development, visual art, and the creative process with models of counseling and psychotherapy. An art therapist will most likely have you create something that expresses the feelings that you are having at the particular time. They will encourage you to discuss what your creation means. Art therapy can work in any medium and is based on the belief that the creative process involved in artistic expression can help people to develop interpersonal skills, manage behavior, help to resolve conflict or problems, increase self esteem and self awareness, achieve insight and in turn these will help to reduce stress and goes a long way toward stress management. Art therapists are skilled in the application of several different modes of art including drawing, painting, sculpting, along with other media for assessment and treatment. While art therapy is its own field and therapists are master’s level professionals it is something that you can practice on your own, whenever and wherever you feel the need.

Many find that using art therapy is both cathartic and inspirational. Whether it is painting, drawing or some other method creating art can help you to manage or relieve stress in more ways than one. During the creative process you can take your mind of what it is that is stressing you, being in the moment and the flow of the art is very engaging and can bring you to an almost meditative state. The finished product is rewarding since it is something that you created. Having a hobby or something that you do for yourself can go along way toward bringing a sense of balance to your life and help with stress management. Often just putting your problems out there on paper, as a clay model or whatever making them external makes them easier to deal with and you have the emotional satisfaction of having created something that is all your own. Art is a window into human emotion, thought, expression and personality. Too much stress can cause you to lose touch with your true thoughts and feelings and artistic expression can help you to get them back. Art is a way of healing.

‘Use It or Lose It’ Theory Applies to Erectile Function after Prostate Surgery

Posted in Uncategorized at 11:09 am by Jenny

Harvard Med School says just letting nerves heal can take too long

The traditional advice given to men after surgery to remove the prostate - to wait for erectile function to return on its own - may not be adequate. Simply put, erections seem to work on a use-it-or-lose-it basis. To prevent the secondary damage that may occur if the penis goes too long without erections, researchers now think it’s better to restore erectile function soon after prostate removal.

The prostate is the gland below a man’s bladder that produces fluid for semen. Prostate cancer, which sometimes requires removal of the prostate, is the third most common cause of death from cancer in men of all ages, although it primarily occurs in older men.

Erectile dysfunction after surgery to remove the prostate (radical prostatectomy) has traditionally been attributed to nerve damage that theoretically should heal over time. But it can take as long as two years for the nerves to recover enough for a man to have an erection without the aid of drugs or devices. By that time, other damage may have occurred, according to an article in the latest issue of Perspectives on Prostate Disease.

The Harvard Medical School bulletin notes that when the penis is flaccid for long periods of time, it is deprived of a lot of oxygen-rich blood. Recent research suggests that this low oxygen level causes some muscle cells in the penis’s erectile tissue to lose their flexibility. The tissue gradually becomes more like scar tissue, interfering with the penis’s ability to expand when it’s filled with blood.

Treatment options to restore erectile function include using a vacuum pump device or taking erectile dysfunction drugs by mouth or by injection into the penis.

According to Dr. Marc Garnick, editor in chief of Perspectives on Prostate Disease and a Harvard oncologist, “Although the evidence supporting this ‘penile rehabilitation’ isn’t perfect, you may want to ask your doctor about the options. Such early intervention may help increase the odds that you will regain erectile function.”
